
The Operating Room Global (TORG) Foundation is a multidisciplinary professional platform representing over 260,000 perioperative professionals across 113 countries. It is the largest global network bringing together all operating room professionals, with 42 healthcare disciplines and specialties represented. A Not-For-Profit and Non-Governmental organization founded in Nigeria in August 2015 and incorporated in October, 2019 (CAC 137951). TORG has since expanded to over 20 active chapters worldwide, including 32 African countries.

The Operating Room Journal (TORGJ) is the official Journal of The Operating Room Global Centre for Education, Research & Innovation. It is an open-access, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary international journal inaugurated in May 2025 and committed to advancing evidence-based knowledge in all domains related to the perioperative environment. Our aim is to provide a platform for researchers, clinicians, educators, and policy advocates to disseminate high-quality research that informs practice, shapes policy, and improves global health outcomes.

Our Academic and Innovation Arm
The Operating Room Global Centre for Education, Research & Innovation Limited is the academic, research and innovation arm of The Operating Room Global (TORG) incorporated in Ireland in June, 2025 (CRO 791393, VAT: IE4439375HH). This Centre now leads TORG’s global agenda in education, evidence-based practice, research advancement, global partnerships and innovation in perioperative and surgical systems. It serves as a hub for academic collaboration, training, research partnerships, and the development of novel tools and strategies to strengthen surgical care delivery, particularly in low-resource settings.

The Operating Room Global Foundation proudly commemorates a decade of transformative impact in surgical care and professional collaboration. Since its establishment in August 2015, TORG has grown from a single chapter of nine operating room professionals in one country to a truly global movement.
At five years, TORG had expanded into 45 countries with 23 chapters and 42,000 professionals. In August 2025, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone, uniting over 230,000 operating room professionals across 107 countries and 25 chapters worldwide.
